St Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church 121 Bridge Avenue, Red Bank New Jersey 07701 offered a "soon to be demolished" home to the Red Bank, NJ Fire Fighters so that they could practice their Firefighting skills on Sunday April 2, 2017

As St Anthony of Padua prepares for the demolishing of a small house in very bad condition they offered the amazing volunteer fire fighters of Red Bank a fabulous opportunity to have cadets and newly graduated fire fighters a chance to practice their fire fighting skills on the home. The home was staged with a car accident, injured baby and home fire. Fire fighters had to assess the situation and address it accordingly. This gave them valuable opportunity to practice what they have been learning. Cadets (14-17yr olds) were able to use a ladder to practice getting into a house and a new graduate was able to get to the roof and use a saw to cut a hole in the roof. It was a great opportunity for all these great men and women who are all volunteers! After the drill was over Fr Alberto Tamayo, pastor at St Anthony and Br. Nicholas Dolan, seminarian for the Diocese of Trenton and member of the Oratory in Formation at St Anthony were given a lift in the new Tower Truck 90, a state of the art ladder/cherry picker. Tower 90 is a 2000 American LaFrance, with a 93 foot mid-mount aerial platform. It is equipped with a 4 inch water-way. It carries 169 feet of ground ladders, and a 15K Watt electrical generator for lights, fans and tools. The truck also carries numerous pieces of rescue equipment including air-bags, hydraulic jacks and saws. Tower 90 brings to Red Bank a more effective fire fighting power, while also increasing the safety of our volunteer firefighters. Tower 90 incorporates the latest technological advances for safe and efficient fire fighting. The truck meets all the current requirements established by OSHA and the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) standards.
